Cohabitation (Living together)

Cohabitation is not a civil partnership. If you are an unmarried couple living together you are said to be co-habiting. This does give you certain legal rights, however you do not have the same rights as a married couple, no matter how long you stay together and you have even fewer rights than those in a civil partnership.

Although everybody's situation is different it is worth getting your legal status confirmed and seeking professional advice from a qualified lawyer.
